How It Works

I know your little one’s first birthday is a big deal (I mean, cake + frosting = happiness, right?)! Whether you’re ready to dive into the smash or just want to celebrate the day with some adorable pics, I’ve got you covered. Here’s how it goes:

1. Book your perfect session

First, we’ll chat about your cake smash vision! Once we’ve picked the perfect style, we’ll get it all set up around your baby’s big day. Easy, peasy!

2. Session Day is here!

The big day has arrived! No need to stress—just show up and get ready for some cake-eating fun. We’ll start with some family shots (if you want) and then it’s time to let your baby dive into that delicious cake, while I capture all those sweet, frosting-covered moments.

3. Relax and enjoy this moment

I’ve got everything under control - all you have to do is relax and enjoy watching your baby get messy, because trust me, these are the moments you’ll want to remember forever!

Questions

When should I book my cake smash session?

Ideally, 2-3 months in advance – that way, I can make sure we’ve got the perfect balloons, props, and backdrops for your little one's big day!

Who provides the smash cake?

I prefer that parents provide the cake for a couple of reasons, but mainly because I’m not equipped to handle all the cake allergies! Bring what you know your little one will love.

I also recommend practicing at home a few days before the session if your little one has never had sweets before!

What if I don't want my baby eating cake?

Totally get it! If cake’s not your thing, we can switch it up. Pasta, tacos, watermelon, or whatever your baby loves work just as well. And if you want to make your own cake, feel free to make it out of baby-approved ingredients!

One mom made a banana cake with Greek yogurt icing, and her baby ate it all up! Messy baby = the cutest thing ever.

What if I don't know what theme I want?

No worries! We can either go through some of the themes I’ve already done, or we can get creative and brainstorm something totally unique. Even colors can be a theme! Go big, go small, it’s totally up to you.

Who chooses the photos that are included?

You! You’ll get a proof gallery with watermarked images, and I’ll already have removed any duplicates or test shots. You pick your faves, and then I’ll take care of the editing, which usually takes 4-16 days.
