An Adventure Session in Disney

A Brag Post

I don’t do too many brag posts. I don’t feel I’ve really anything to brag about. This is different. I am here to be a braggy braggerston.

April has been a very good friend of mine since around 2010. Maybe earlier maybe later, we can’t really remember – but we met working at Picture People.

Love & Marriage

When she got married in 2019 it was a no brainer (for her) that I would be her wedding photographer, even if she had to force me to fly to Florida. I was comfortable allowing her to hire someone closer, but she insisted I be there to capture and celebrate her day. I am very glad she did. That was the first flight I had ever been on (and I did it with my whole wedding photo kit). It is still is one of my favorite weddings.

Magical Honeymoon

After the wedding they honeymooned at Disney (logically). I too went to Disney for 4 days (with my guy). First time. It was magical, and very, very overwhelming. April planned out our day so we didn’t have to stress or think about anything. Did I mention she is the best?!

Along came a baby

Since the wedding April and her husband have welcomed a wonderful lil man to the world – who will be 3 way too soon. Obviously I’ve captured this baby since newborn. If you’ve followed me the past 3 years, you too have watched him and his big pup brother grow up too.

A magical adventure session

Alas, April was joking that she should fly me down to Disney to do his birthday pictures since she saw some photos another photographer had done. We were planning to go to the zoo anyway, so why not the best zoo?

This was a Friday, by Wednesday I was on a plane (by myself) to meet them in Disney. 3rd & 4th flights in the book, plus a solo uber ride. I was ready to conquer the world.

I really appreciate April coaxing me out of my comfort zone, taking me to amazing places and allowing me to celebrate her birthday and family. Also big thank you to Gene who has helped along the way and been an awesome friend too. I was gone and home within 48 hours. It still feels like a fever dream. My friends are the best.
